What you will need for your notary visit
A valid identification that is current or has been issued within years from notary request.
The required ID must have all of the following:
Photo
Description of you
Your signature
Serial number
Issued date
Expiration date
Common types of IDs accepted:
California State Driver’s License (driver’s license issued by another state of by a Canadian or Mexican public agency authorized to issue driver’s licenses)
State Issued identification card
United States passport
A current US military card that contains all the required elements listed above
State employee identification issued by the state, city, county of California ID issued by a federally recognized tribal government
